Arthur Haynes
Both myself and the mother-in-law enjoy the older stuff and regularly set each other trivial questions. My question was, Who said as a catchline 'Up to me neck in muck and bullets?' She immediately came back with 'Arthur Haynes, I hated that man, he was crude and picked on unfortunates.'
I do not know why as she did not elaborate, but, my interest was awakened. I remember his shows as not particularly funny but that may have been my age. I recollect a one armed Irishman as a bit of a sly character playing as Arthurs sidekick, but again i may be wrong. Anybody else feel agreived at Arthur Haynes technique in humour?.
