Thread: The wife watched as well...

I know that a lot of old black and white films, perhaps, leave a number of people cold. Sometimes my wife raises an eyebrow or three when I enter the viewing parlour with another dvd in my hand. Sometimes I strike lucky, by telling her that this is a good one to watch and her watching the same, she has learnt, bless her, that my tastes in film are not too bad, although, silent film is my particular bag at the moment. However, I had planned an evening on my own, when her job got cancelled and she reappeared just as I was placing the disc in the drawer. I told her this was a good one and we settled down to watch 'The Best Years Of Our Lives'. A truly amazing film that I have wanted to own for years, and my wife had never seen it before. We both loved it, and instead of her wending her way upstairs early, she stayed and watched it until the credits. Full marks all round...

THATS LOVE WITH A NOD AND A BLINK...I SAT THROUGH THE SOUND OF MUSIC YESTERDAY,I HATE MUSICALS,BUT ROBERT WISE WAS A MASTER AT THE HORROR FILM(THE HAUNTING).....AND THATS ONE SCARY FILM,I MEAN THE SOUND OF MUSIC.....BOY

Apparently, a whole bunch of guys at work had never seen the Sound Of Music, so they settled down to watch it and all those who knew it, started singing at the strategic moments. Management was not amused, and complained but got sucked into watching most of it as well....

I BET THEY WERE ALL BLUBBING UNCONTROLLABLY AT THE SOBBY MESS.IF THATS A HAPPY ENDING THEN I AM THE QUEEN OF SHEBA...THEY HAVE LEFT THAT MILLION POUND HOME,STUCK UP A MOUNTAIN,NO FOOD,NO MONEY..WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY GOT TO SING ABOUT...

Luckily my wife likes old films and so do the kids. Or maybe its just that I hide the remotes?

I AM ALWAYS SUSPICIOUS ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIKE MOVIES...

I like the popcorn part of it.
